The weather has been so damp that going out for a walk has been difficult to breath but I do false myself. Gosh it feels like the Corvonia advert and someone is sitting on my chest. I only have to walk up a little hill to get to the top of the park. But I do feel Im making my lungs work hard so I do it. If it was summer it would be so difficult.
Roll on the summer.
I have been sorting out what I will take to Birmingham to wear. Evening dressing is always hard as long dresses always billow on me so Im going for a layered look and have a long summer skirt and little strappy top. so i think Im already now. Hair cut so it has time to settle for the end of January.
I had to sort an article that will be published by Asbestos Justice.I tell my story so many times that its hard to keep changing it and making it sound interesting. Thats all done now.
I have been filling my diary up with camping dates and Motorhome shows so it will be great to get out and meet up with my camping friend. I do miss then as meets are spaced out more at this time of year.

Gosh its ages since I have shared my cooking with you. It has been hard at times as my appetite not only went but also the will to cook. I just couldnt think at times what ingredients to buy.All to much trouble but the pleasure of cooking has returned. Love cooking from scratch and being healthy. I have eaten to much chocolate over christmas. They have also gone back to the theory that sugar feeds cancer so sugar free dishes are back in fashion.
I have been researching about my kidney as Im being so good and drinking plenty but I would really like to get it back into full health. Drinking all this water is meaning i rush to the bathroom now where I used to stroll ha ha !!
Creatinine is a protein made by the muscles as they work. The muscle cells release creatinine into the bloodstream. It circulates in the blood round to the kidneys. The kidneys remove the creatinine and get rid of it in your urine. The amount of creatinine your kidneys produce in the urine stays at about the same level and can be measured by a blood test. The blood test shows how fast the creatinine is being removed from the circulating blood. So it is a measure of how well your kidneys are working. If your kidney function begins to fall, the level of creatinine in the blood will rise and this will show up in your regular blood tests.
Some chemotherapy drugs can cause kidney damage. People having treatment with these drugs will have blood tests for creatinine before each course of chemotherapy. This is to make sure their kidneys are able to cope with the drugs.
If you develop, or already have kidney damage, your doctor may lower the dose of the drugs you are having. You may change to a different combination of chemotherapy drugs that is not so harmful to the kidneys. The kidneys may recover after a break from treatment. If your kidneys are not working very well at all, you may not be able to have chemotherapy treatment as it may do too much harm.
It is important to drink plenty of water to help flush out your kidneys and help prevent kidney damage. With some drugs, you will be given fluids through a drip (intravenously) before and possibly after your treatment. At the same time, you may be given a drug to make you pass urine (a diuretic).

I can see that I should infact juice more and there is a lot of detoxing recipes.
Your kidneys work hard for you 24/7, so naturally if you’re feeling fatigued or experiencing any sort of imbalance in the body, you may be considering a kidney cleanse. Your kidneys not only produce hormones for you, filter out excess water and sodium, and clean your blood, they pretty much handle all of the toxins that come in to your body from food, air, and water. Along with the liver, you’ve got a team hard at work inside your body doing their best to keep you healthy and safe with clear skin and an ideal body weight. However, with the ridiculously high toxin load we’re faced with in our modern society, sometimes we need to take extra steps to detox our kidneys and give them a rest from processing so much so we can begin to heal and come into balance.
7 reasons why you may want to do a kidney detox:
- You’re feeling fatigued or more tired than usual.
- You feel pain in your kidneys after eating certain foods (or processed “phoods”).
- You’re experiencing skin problems like eczema, acne or rashes.
- You have a hormonal imbalance or feel extra moody.
- You’ve had kidney stones in the past.
- You’re experiencing weight gain and bloating.
- You have frequent or infrequent bladder problems or UTI’s.
Cleanse Tip: Almost anyone can benefit from doing a kidney cleanse. Throughout history, humans have always used fasting or cleansing as a way to detoxify not only the physical body, but the emotional body as well. If you’re already in good health, then doing a yearly kidney cleanse can be a gentle form of prevention for you.
3 Juice Recipes for Kidney Detox
Watermelon is 92% water by weight, which means that it will help your body to flush the kidneys, which can help to remove very small stones. Carrots and cucumber are a super-powered up duo. Combined, they support the kidneys in flushing out excess uric acid (known to cause kidney stones), support the kidneys in flushing out excess toxins as well as load your body up with a mega dose of nutrients.
The kidneys filter your blood, so if they’re taxed or unable to function at full capacity, this can show up in the form of skin issues like eczema or acne breakouts. Drink this combination of veggies for a cleansing effect on the kidneys, and the skin, resulting in a glowing, beautiful complexion.
Power of Two Kidney Juice:
- 2 Carrots
- 1 large Cucumber
Instructions: Wash your produce and run all ingredients through a juicer.
Radishes are super detoxifiers for the liver and gallbladder, and help the kidneys flush out excess toxins. They protect the body against infection, and they’re anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory. Juicing radishes allows your body to absorb more of the nutrients than you would from eating them whole, due to the volume it would take to eat radishes vs. juicing them. If you suffer from kidney stones, drinking radish juice can help dissolve stones so you can pass them more quickly.
Super Radish Kidney Detox:
- 1 cup Radish
- 1 cup Purple Cabbage
- 1 rib Celery
Instructions: Wash your produce and run all ingredients through a juicer.
